INJECTABLES

Cosmetic Treatments

Our in-house Registered Nurse, Candyce Bell, is now booking appointments for a selection of non-invasive injectable services. Botox and fillers may seem similar for those who haven’t delved into this branch of the aesthetic field, but they actually have two very different functions.

BOTOX

Botulinum toxin, better known as Botox, is a natural, purified protein that is used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat medical conditions like hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating. There is very little to no downtime after the procedure, though you may experience bruising or swelling. Botox is the most well-know injectable and is also the safest on the market. It is also certified in both the cosmetic and medial industries.

DERMAL FILLERS

As you age, your skin cells lose their ability to produce more collagen and elastin, which causes the skin to become dryer, thinner and less able to repair itself. When we are young, we have enough naturally occuring hyaluronic acid in our body to keep our skin taut and healthy, but as we get older this storage of HA diminishes, leaving the skin less supported, causing lines and wrinkles. Dermal Fillers are injected into these most problematic areas in order to lift and fill these folds and wrinkles. The discomfort is minimal as the treatment does not take long to perform and results are seen immediately afterwards. Treating wrinkles with dermal filler is fast and leaves no scars. It is also popular to treat lips with fillers to give them that extra kissable volume.
